Meet the Doctor

Catherine Bordelon Fussell, MD

Through her own health journey and exposure to her grandfather’s family practice, Dr. Fussell became interested in a career in medicine. Dr. Fussell received her undergraduate degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. She then returned home to complete her medical education at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. There, Dr. Fussell was a recipient of the Patrick Taylor Foundation scholarship for primary care. Dr. Fussell completed her residency at LSU Rural Family Medicine Residency in Bogalusa, LA where she served as chief resident. Dr. Fussell and her husband Brad, a native of Covington, have three children – Frances, Camille, and Fitz.

Dr. Fussell is dedicated to creating individualized treatment for her patients to improve disease outcomes and ultimately enhance quality of life.

Meet the Nurse Practitioner

Georgina, NP

Georgina earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and spent seven years working in various intensive care units, gaining valuable experience in high-acuity patient care. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing and become a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of South Alabama. Georgina believes in a holistic, patient-centered approach to medicine—one that considers the whole person, not just symptoms. She is currently pursuing certification in functional medicine and has completed extensive additional training through the Institute for Functional Medicine.
Georgina is passionate about educating patients so they feel empowered to make informed, healthy choices on their healing journey. She works closely with a team of like-minded providers at Fussell Health and collaborates with each patient to develop personalized care plans that support long-term wellness. Her approach emphasizes identifying and addressing root causes of health concerns wherever possible, with the goal of supporting meaningful, lasting improvements in overall well-being.
